In the hilly area of Středočeská pahorkatina, on the border between the Pribram and Pisek districts, the versatile Falcon 6 PRO seed drill has been operated for four years. It does an excellent job and has covered more than 3,300ha without any problems. The enterprise Zemědělská Klučenice, a.s. runs a farm with 1,000ha of arable land with minimizing technology only and as we are told by Mr Holan, local agronomist, the local land has not seen a plough for 20 years. Livestock production is also extensive in Klučenice, including 500 dairy cows and 200 pcs of slaughter cattle. Over 80% of the production grown in the farm is therefore consumed directly there.
Our unique seed drill is capable of parallel seeding of two crops with standard equipment. Its large hopper is longitudinally divided in halves. Under each half of the hopper, there is a large seed dispenser allowing different sowing density settings and electronic control thereof. The seed drill also has two distribution heads and the sowing depth can be set at two different levels.
In Klučenice, they seed hull-grain mixtures, e.g. common pea at a depth of 5cm with a sowing density of 200 kg/ha and spring wheat at a depth of 3cm with a sowing density of 70kg/ha, on approx. 200ha every year. With the Fert+ seed drill version, it is possible to apply granulated fertilizer with the two crops as well. In addition to that, the Falcon Pro modular seed drill can be equipped with the Micro-Drill for additional catch crop or grass sowing.
