In August, we demonstrated quality sowing of winter rapeseed using Falcon SW STRIP 6 at several of our customers. It is a machine with replaceable front pre-processing sections and rear sowing sections. Using chisel pre-processing sections supplemented with an SD roller for reverse compaction with excellent depth guidance is a NOVELTY. The chisels loosen soil in a narrow strip up to the depth of 20cm, the roller compacts the soil and levels it, and the rear sowing section places seeds into the centre of the aerated strips.
The resulting spacing of rows is 25cm. Soil loosening in strips provides humidity for even germination and the formation of a strong root. The machines can be equipped with a system for fertiliser application into the aerated strips. When sowing rapeseed by Falcon SW, we established crops at various conditions based on the customers’ technology. The most frequent type was sowing directly in the stubble field, which the machine is ideal for. Some customers required sowing into deeply loosened soil, or after tillage. Customers highly value the versatility of the use of the machine in various technologies as well as the modularity of the machine providing an ideal configuration for various crops.
After the rapeseed is sown, the front and rear sections for strip-drill are replaced with a single rear wide sowing bar with 12.5cm row spacing and the width of 9 meters. And the demo tour continues with demonstrations of highly productive sowing of winter cereals.
The demonstrations of the Falcon seed drills take place in several places in the Czech Republic with various modifications:
Falcon SW, Falcon PRO Fert+ as well as Falcon Compact.
