Every year, the number of users of Falcon seed drills is increasing, using the front chisel sections for strip loosening to seed canola, allowing fertilization and seeding into the loosened strips in one operation. Excellent results push this technology to the front, and thanks to its efficiency, strip sowing is gradually becoming the standard for sowing rapeseed and other crops.

A key presumption for high yields and their year-on-year stability is the correct tillage, which ensures both good rainwater infiltration and its intensive uptake to plant roots during the dry season. It is therefore necessary not only to loosen the soil well and deep enough, but also to optimally consolidate in the entire loose profile in order to restore the optimal proportion of capillary and non-capillary pores. It is also important to create a significant transition of compacted and non-compacted soil at the depth of sowing, the so-called seedbed. The seed placed on the seedbed at the optimum depth has enough soil moisture from below the optimally compacted zone and can well grow through the loose soil upwards.

At the Russian agriculture company Ignatev, operating in the Orenburg region of the southern part of Russia, they put into operation a new seed drill Falcon SW Fert +, which they bought in the autumn. The Orenburg region is one of the main agricultural places of the Russian Federation. It is located around the Ural river and the southern part of the Ural mountains. These geographical conditions create a favorable climate for agricultural activity in the region, where are humid springs and dry summers with a high numbers of sunny days are common. The most cultivated crops are wheat, rye, sunflowers, potatoes, peas and beans.
