Alister Donald with his new Kompaktomat K 500 PS
Soil is heavy clay based with 12-18 inch top soil, stone free with very good returning moisture (no irrigation). They trade approx. 6000 lambs every year. Lambs are buying between January and April with weight around 30kg. They are wintering on feed crops and selling +50kg to the export industry from September to November. Farm rotation after winter crops is generally cereal silage (most likely barley) which is sold for animal feed.
The 'window' for making paddocks ready for new crops after wintering is very short in spring. This time is the best for new Farmet Kompaktomat K 500 PS to show his potential.
Kompaktomat provides 7 working operation in one pass and leaves field perfectly ready for seeding with nice smooth finish. This guarantee preparing crops quickly with minimum passes and less time spending on the field. Alister was searching for his „right“ machine almost two years and that time now paid off.
Farmet Kompaktomat provides precise seedbed with one pass which will normally take up to 3 passes with conventions machines. Its time and cost saver. Kompaktomat is truly machine which does 3-4 jobs really all in one. There is also benefit with quality built and design right true to the paint finish. It's easy to pull on hills, machine required minimum maintenance and there is option to put other parts to it that can give us even more flexibility.
I'm very impressed with how firm the rear roller left the surface for the drill. It's got great leveling capability too. He said. Alister choose Farmet Kompaktomat PS through strong local dealer JJ’s Timaru. 5m half-carried machine with AP middle section, beneficial front hydraulic driven leveling board and rear crosskill roller.
