September’s issue of AllAboutFeed has published an article on rapeseed by-product processing with the Farmet technology. The article focuses on increasing feed value of cakes and rapeseed meal. Since the ban on meat and bone meal across the feed industry in European Union, the market has demanded an alternative, which are largely soybean products. The majority of soybean, however, is imported from overseas. Replacing a portion of the demand with locally grown rapeseed seems to be a promising path to reaching independence on imported soybean.
