Farmet a.s. – the OIL & FEED TECH (OFT) division is an important manufacturer of technology for the processing of oilseeds, vegetable oil and feed. In the past 30 years we have gained rich practical experience and knowledge in these fields, which we utilize in the realization of technological equipment for our customers. The key know-how of the company Farmet lies in the design and manufacturing of rotary expeller presses for oilseeds and extruders of feed, which are the foundation of our technologies.
We are mainly an engineering company with our own research and development, extensive knowledge of basic properties of processed agricultural products and means of their respective treatment (heat, mechanical, etc.) and processing. The production facility is equipped with state-of-the-art engineering technology. The result of effective cooperation between research, development, and production is the high-quality output of the Farmet brand.
We focus on implementing the Farmet know-how in the design and production of our technology and we deliver the products as complex solutions. Our work extends beyond setting up and starting the equipment; we also provide customer service.

We adapt the design of our technology to effectively utilize local produce of oilseeds, grains, and other agricultural products for both food and feed production. When applicable, we also deal with biomass for energy production.
Along with common engineering technology, our production facility is specially equipped for the production of parts for expeller presses and extruders. We use the latest CNC machines to produce screw flights, conical inserts and dies of various shapes and designs. The key machines and equipment for Farmet technologies are made in our home facility.
In cooperation with other units in our division, the production unit strives to increase work effectiveness in order to achieve better parameters for customers, higher lifespan of supplied parts, while keeping balanced production costs. We implement technology based on our own development of abrasion-proof layers for production parts and their precise working.
The core of the production of each component lies in the use of high-quality material and its subsequent expert processing. We pay high attention to the choice of best materials, which we then refine by superb heat treatment.
Final products are then assembled following individual specifications for particular plants and projects and finalized with third-party components for the complex technology delivery.

To support R&D, the company has built a unique laboratory for the study of rheological properties of oilseeds and other agricultural products. Here we analyze individual seed species at high pressure and heat, conditions that simulate the environment in an expeller press and or extruder. The experimental findings are then verified in the pilot test center for pressing and extrusion, a facility that also stands on the company’s premises.
We also gain experience from cooperation with our clients, who provide us with data for our analyses and innovations.
Our interdisciplinary teams cooperate with major universities and research institutions and together they always seek new, innovative solutions and improvement of existing products. The complex deliveries of technological equipment are provided by a team of experts in various fields, so that the technological solution meets the customer’s demands. The delivery itself also encompasses working out of various related sub-projects from an initial study to a documentation of actual state.
Regarding the construction-related issues, we prefer to collaborate with the client’s local design and construction company. Together we develop optimal arrangement of the equipment, accounting for existing rooms or construction of a new facility.
Our offer includes complex technology together with its placement, logistic links, and means of connection to power supply and information systems. The technological equipment we deliver is provided with systems for measurement, regulation, and automatic control, which utilize cutting-edge tools for visualization, diagnostics, and remote control (Farmet Intelligent Control, FIC).
Upon request we provide assistance with the installation and commissioning of the equipment. Importantly, we also secure the training of the client’s personnel, which we carry out in several phases and at different levels. Training of production engineers and managers, as well as that of the operating personnel, represents a significant element of the deliveries of Farmet’s technology.
The subsequent technical support is provided online via direct communication with the Technical Support Centre at Farmet. Operating personnel also enjoys the opportunity to directly communicate with product managers that give support with the operation of the equipment. The service is then provided by service centres or directly through experts from Farmet.
