Farmet offers demonstrations of a selected machine to the interested parties on their own premises. Ing. Petr Kopecký, a mechanisation technician of Nahořanská a.s., an agricultural business, wrote about demonstration seeding using the Falcon 6 PRO seed drill:
On 22 March 2019, there was a demonstration of the Falcon 6 PRO seed drill by Farmet a.s. in our company, NAHOŘANSKÁ a. s.
Seeding took place under ideal weather conditions, it was sunny and windy, without precipitation. The field was first prepared by breaking the coarse furrow using a levelling machine with a width of 15 m. Then, the preparation of the field was finished using Kompaktomat with a width of 7 m.
As far as the soil conditions are concerned, the field where the seeding took place mostly has quality sand-clay soil, without rocks. The field is located in Nové Město nad Metují. We planted spring barley at 210 kg/ha.
NAHOŘANSKÁ a. s. manages about 2,254 hectares. The plant production mostly produces cereals – wheat, barley. Then, we grow sugar beet, oilseed rape, mustard, rye-grass, clover grass.
The company also engages in animal husbandry, including about 1,000 pieces of cattle, out of which almost 500 are dairy cows.
