The principle of sowing technology after strip tillage is the sowing of a wide-angle crop (corn) with a planter into the belt tillage.

In the second half of March, I visited the Agricultural Trading Company Šestajovice - Jirny, a.s. This is where we delivered the new Monsun ME 600 sowing machine at the beginning of spring.

Proper use of resources is the key to the success of agricultural production. I consider time to be the most important, followed by other components such as seeds, fertilizer, plant protection products, fuels and other tangible and intangible elements of technology.

It has been three years Falcon 3 COMPACT succsesfully working by the Polish border in hilly area of the north of the Czech Republic owned by a farmer Mr. Doležal.

A farmer working on 150 ha of arable land in the north of the Czech Republic combines conventional and minimizing technology when growing agricultural crops. The farm uses plowing mainly in the cultivation of sugar beet and uses a deep cultivator and subsequently a disc cultivator under the rest of the crops. Crop portfolio represents approximately 60 ha of wheat, 25 ha of barley, 30 ha of sugar beet and the remaining 35 ha is rapeseed.

The new modular sowing machine Falcon 6 PRO Fert+ works from autumn season at AGROSEM cooperative – seeds producer in Stěžery. After 6 years of good experience with the first Farmet Falcon 6 PRO disc seed drill, they decided to buy the new Falcon from the FARMET company. The Falcon PRO Fert + (2020) is the second Falcon seed drill in AGROSEM Stěžery. On the machine, they especially appreciate the performance, the highly resistant pneumatic roller, the high variability (modularity) of the machine and the excellent crop quality production. A great advantage is the possibility of sowing poppy, which the company specializes in.

We visited the Houdek family farm in small village Ostresany in the Pardubice region to finish poppy seeding. They use the compact Farmet Falcon COMPACT seed drill with a working width of 3 meters for sowing all narrow-row crops (cereals, rape, legumes, poppies, etc.).

Nahořanská a.s. is doing land deep loosening for special crops these days. Deep loosening to 60 cm ensures excellent water infiltration in deeper soil layers.

Fantom 1250 PRO in configuration for early spring pre-sowing preparation is used for example in company AG Maiwald in eastern Bohemia.

AGD Senice a.s. farms in district of Nymburk on medium heavy to heavy humus soil. All operations must be done in a short time in optimal moisture soil conditions.

On the south Bohemian border you can see our largest Kompaktomat K 1570 MAX. This new machine was bought by the big farm in this area and they started the season preparing a seedbed for poppy seeding.

The Verso cultivator is the ideal machine for spring processing of flattened wet soil. In wet conditions with high throughput, it can perfectly processed naturally flattened soil after autumn plowing or stubble cultivation and level the surface for seedbed preparation.

We announce that the management of Trade Fairs Brno has agreed to move the International Techagro Trade Fair to the date of 11-15 April 2021, while maintaining a two-year periodicity in odd years.

The brand-new Farmet’s wide Softer 12.5 PS disc cultivator will be introduced at Techagro 2020 for the very first time. The new wide machine with a working width of 12.5 metres is designed for large businesses with tractors with a horsepower of 500-650. The working width of 12.5 metres is also suitable for uniform rail lines (CTF) with the 12-metre module.

It might seem that machines for soil cultivation are simple when compared with tractors or threshers, but their maintenance also has its difficulties and neglecting it does not pay off.

Full-area tillage with zone loosening to 35 cm

For spring tillage Farmet recommends choosing from two proven machines.

With spring approaching fast, some farmers have to resolve how to seed in a very short time with a lack of equipment. The Softer disc cultivator can also help with seedbed cultivation in difficult conditions.

Direct seeding in a stubble field with strip loosening in a single operation by the Falcon PRO Strip seed drill is an effective solution for establishing rapeseed crops in dry years. Last year, ZOD Žichlínek used this method to plant rapeseed for the first time.

A customer Hořanská a. s. area was looking for a solution to cultivate a grain stubble field which had considerably overgrown with saltbush with a height of 30-40cm, moreover, the soil was very hard due to a long-lasting drought.
