One-level hot pressing is the most universal and widespread technology for oilseed processing. This technology is convenient not only for seeds with low oil content (soybeans), but also for oil-rich seeds, such as rapeseed and sunflower seed.
After pre-treatment and pre-heating, the seeds are turned into flakes in a flaking mill. This procedure is beneficial since flakes can be heated, dried, and pressed more effectively than seeds. After flaking, the mass flows into stack cookers, which serve for further heating and drying. Material prepared in this way allows much easier oil release in the subsequent pressing.

The sequence starts with a temporary container capable of supplying seeds for several hours of operation. Seeds are transported into the input heater, or a thermal stabilization unit, depending on the capacity of the press shop, before it enters the flaking mill. Here we also suggest you to enhance the procedure with a seed cleaning unit. It is also possible to supplement the technology with weighing equipment at entry, or hulling and hull separation.
Pre-treated seeds enter the stack cooker, where they are heated and dried up.
Seeds processed in this way are then compressed in the expeller press and oil emerges through the outlet slits. This oil still contains some impurities (solids) and has to be further processed with separation and filtration.
