At the beginning of May 2018, an annual meeting and AOCS exhibition was held in Minneapolis, USA (https://www.aocs.org). For the first time, our OFT division took part at the show (see photo). We became partners of this association, which brings together the most important processors, scientists and suppliers of oil seed processing technologies already one year ago.

Last year, during the Falcon SW STRIP 6 Tour, we sowed oil seed rape there and our client had the opportunity to test the front pre-processing STRIP-TILL section and the rear seeding section with 25cm spacing in their conditions and to compare this technology with conventional seeding.

The end of April marked the continuing demonstration of the strip-till soil cultivation technology with fertiliser application using the STRIP-TILL cultivator at many customers. The STRIP-TILL cultivator is designed for strip-till soil cultivation when soil is processed in strips with the spacing of 75cm and depth of 20 – 30cm, with optional fertilisation at two depth levels.

Soybean pressing plant - one-level pressing with extrusion. This technology is a highly efficient soybean treatment process combining extrusion with mechanical pressing. The extruders are advantageously used to increase the pressing efficiency, where the extrusion process results in heating of the seeds, disrupting of the cells and releasing of oil, which then makes the pressing process easier. For soybean pressing technology you will get all engineering and other services such as technical support and service.

During the first quarter of this year a dealer training took place in our company's headquarters. This two-days training was divided into 4 groups, which met within a few weeks. At the same time with the training of our dealers also there was the training of our service specialists.

On Good Friday a new Verso 8 was in operation around the Labe´s race and presented the pre-sowing preparation after the autumn ploughing. Even there was a high level of underground water and last days were rainy and furrow slices featured high humidity, somewhere even the water, the final result was very good. The brand new Verso 8 fully showed its advantages, namely its great throughput when working under wet conditions.

At the end of January 2018, a traditional Simaq fair was held in Canadian Quebec. The OFT division of Farmet participated in this event through its dealer, REL. This fair is the largest and most visited exhibition in this field in the region. Here, our sales representative demonstrated mainly local soybean processing and used FE 250 and FE 100 extruders combined with the FL 200 press as exhibits.
