On 12 May 2016, the traditional Corporate Day Farmet was held at the company´s place of business. Same as in previous years, the Corporate Day was focused on a presentation of the complex product portfolio of agricultural machinery, including several new products. The practical presentation of machinery on the adjacent field was focused on a demonstration of complex technologies for crop establishment and attracted a large number of visitors. This year´s attendance has been the largest in its history so far. Over 1000 visitors had registered for the event. A significant part of the attendees was represented by foreign visitors from more than 15 markets of Europe and Asia. A considerable number of the visitors were representatives of the scientific community from research institutes and universities.

On 29 April 2016, after six months of construction works, Ing. Žďárský, the director of the company Farmet, ceremonially cut the ribbon for the research and development centre in the agricultural machinery division. The extension of new offices gave rise to a research and development complex for both divisions of the company Farmet which is a follow-up to the research and testing laboratories constructed in recent years. The new facilities will contribute to an improvement of the company culture, enhance the working conditions of the technical division and speed up implementation of innovations in Farmet´s agricultural machinery. The working environment meets the strictest requirements, the areas are air-conditioned, constantly ventilated and soundproof. The new areas will provide comfortable conditions for permanent research and development workers as well as for newly hired technical workers as the recruitment process in Farmet is ongoing.

Farmet a.s. has become a new member of Danube Soya, an association of growers, processors and producers of soya and soybean products. This organization emerged as a support platform for soybean cultivation in the Danube region, which encompasses the countries Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, and Bulgaria. The association also extends beyond the region via companies from the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Moldavia, and Ukraine.

Options of the disk cultivator Softer have been extended with the option to incorporate liquid manure. This is allowed when combined with the Vogelsang SynCult equipment. Liquid manure is incorporated by the disk cultivator in one pass, which saves time and money and meets the requirements for incorporation of liquid manure within 4 hours of application. This method has become common practice in agriculture. SynCult is a complete assembly consisting of a frame, accurate distributor, hose outlets and corresponding end pieces. The number of outlets and attachment of the distributor head depends on the width of the disk cultivator. Installation of the Syncult assembly does not require any welding or other mechanical processing. The machine can be easily connected via a three-point hitch to the liquid manure tanks or automatic machines.

We would like to extend our thanks to all the visitors who came to see our stand in Pavilion P where we presented more than 13 machines and exhibits at an exhibition area of nearly 900 m2. The prominent feature of the exposition was the modern, versatile wide-mesh share cultivator Fantom PRO with a mesh of 12.5 meters which has been awarded the Grand Prix nomination. At Techagro, this machine intended for tillage and loosening up to a depth of 15cm had its Czech premiere. The exhibit on display was fitted with 4 different kinds of rear rollers, and it was also demonstrated how to disassemble the rollers easily. Furthermore, 3 versions of working sections, chisel and arrow-shaped shares were introduced. The premiere of Farmet Strip-Till for strip-tillage of soil for wide-row crops (maize), with the option to apply granulated fertilizer to the root area of crops, with a design for 8 rows and spacing of 75cm, was hot news. The sowing machine and tool carrier Falcon SW was also presented here to the Czech public for the first time. Falcon SW allows aggregation with various types of seeding sections. The seeding bar for narrow-row seeding with a mesh of 9m was also introduced for the first time.

Micro drill is a sowing unit designed for sowing of catch crops or for direct sowing of grasses. The sowing unit can be mounted on different types of Farmet machines with the working span from 2.1 to 12 metres depending on the used type of fan. The fan type is always selected according to machine span in combination with the planned type of the seed that will be used predominantly. The hopper with volume of 200 litres easily accessible thanks to the smart design.

The technology of strip-till is experiencing a revival, namely due to the growing pressure on the application of anti-erosion technologies and strip-till has a significant anti-erosion effect. The main advantages include soil processing by deep loosening in a strip up to the depth of 35 cm with the option to apply fertilizer into the root zone. Plant residues are placed in the inter-row which not only eliminates erosion processes, but also unproductive evaporating.

In January 2016 was the international trade fair for agricultural machinery AGROmashEXPO in Budapest as every year. This is one of the most significant trade fairs in the agrarian sector which is held in Hungary. The company Farmet, a.s. was presented there by our business partner, company Andest on the exhibition area more then 350 m2 . All visitors could see 6 machines. The most interested was Softer, Verso, Kompaktomat, Digger and Kultis.

In the second week of January we have put in operation our modular press shop for oilseed pressing in Switzerland. It is the modular press shop COMPACT, which is able to process 250 kg...

At the Agritechnica Hannover fair, the company Farmet presented a new generation of multirow share breaker-up and cultivator Fantom PRO 1250. The new cultivator is a 5-row machine designed for shallow and deeper soil processing, i.e. for fast stubble breaking and for cultivation with intensive mixing up to the depth of 15 cm. The machine is intended for aggregation with tractors with the power of 550–650 PS. Due to its conception and high number of shares, it is ideal for pre-sowing preparation. Fantom can be equipped with front flexi-board which further increases the levelling effect during the work.

Falcon SW is a new modular sowing machine (carrier) which was for the first time presented to the public at the Agritechnica Hannover fair. Falcon SW is intended for sowing pro of all common crops in various technologies of planting according to the selected pre-procession and sowing section. The machine modularity enables a wide range of combinations of working sections according to technological requirements and crop targeting of individual customers. The working sections are suspended in quick-clamping suspensions which significantly facilitates their replacement. The rear linkage is a standard TPH of category III so that even standard carried sewing machines or machines for incorporation of manure can be aggregated.

Again after two years – the largest and the most prestigious exhibition of agricultural machinery Agritechnica 2016 in Hannover.

V květnus se v České Skalici konala konference na téma tepelné úpravy krmiv. Pořadatelem akce byla firma Farmet a. s., spolupořadateli AgroDigest s. r. o., Pohořelice a Mendelova univerzita v Brně. Na přednáškách se prezentovala problematika výroby extrudovaných krmiv a krmení hospodářských zvířat a ryb.
